A recent conversation with a friend in South Africa reminded me of the tremendous influence that principled leadership can have on a nation and its people.

One remarkable example is Sir Seretse Khama, the founding leader of Botswana.

At a time when many predicted failure, his vision, integrity, and commitment to democratic values helped transform Botswana into one of Africa’s most stable and prosperous countries.

In this short reflection, I share why his story continues to inspire me and why I believe leadership matters more than ever in today’s world.
